SEAFARERS ( application forms, resumes, CV’s )

I am a second-year navigating cadet and I am studying at Admiral Nevelskoi Maritime State University. I want to have my future shipboard training as a Deck cadet because it is a good opportunity to work alongside professionals and to get knowledge of being an officer of the watch. Honestly, I do not really have a big experience aboard a ship because I have just begun my sea career. The only shipboard training I had was at the icebreaker named “Kapitan Khlebnikov”. There I got my first experience of performing various tasks under the supervision of the Bosun or an able seafarer on the deck, and under the supervision of the officer of the watch on the bridge. So as a cadet I carried out orders that were similar to Ordinary seaman’s orders. On the deck, I painted, cleaned and repaired but I also was writing a record of the training. I am ready to meet the demands of a job that may include lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs, standing for long periods, being confined to small spaces, and working with different people. I am reliable and hard-working, and I understand that physical ability should not be my only advantage that is why I am also ready to improve my knowledge and skills in the performance of maintenance navigational instruments, lifeboats and firefighting operations and deck equipment. And on the bridge, I will help in maintaining the record-keeping on board the ship and check all records of charts and position reports. I do not count on any salary because the main goal for me is to get good shipboard experience. As a hobby I like plenty of things like spending time with friends and family, doing sports, playing computer games and walking.
